Q & A
List your top 3 tips on training, nutrition or contest prep
- Always stretch pre and post workout. This is for injury prevention. Stretching keeps the muscles flexible and strong. It also provides a greater range of motion in your joints. I can’t stress how important this exercise is to your workouts. I speak from an unfortunate experience. The entire healing process from an injury is far more annoying than stretching pre and post workouts.
- Communication is key with your coach. The only way your coach can best serve you is by communicating. Don’t wait for 2 weeks to pass by, and then come forward with an issue. Best to be straight up, and honest, because sometimes, especially with show prep, waiting can be more detrimental. It will not serve you well if you don’t communicate with your coach, because no one wants surprises, or blame.
- Drink your water. We loose water in a day via 4 routes. Urine, Feces, Sweat, and breathing. Drinking the water set out in your plan is critical for fluid intake, and fluid output, to maintain a healthy fluid balance within your body. Water aids in digestion, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients to your organs, and joints, as well as maintaining our bodies temperature. If not adequately hydrated you can become dizzy, experience headaches, cramping in your muscles and so on. So please drink your water.

I took a hiatus from gymnastics for over 20 years, and came back placing 1st at regionals, 1st at provincials, and then 2nd at Nationals. Just goes to show age is just a number, and you can do or be anything you want if you truly want it.

When Adam agreed to coach me, I knew! I knew I was headed in a whole new direction in bodybuilding. This opened up opportunities for me, as well as meeting people. The doors continue to open for me. Both Adam, and Sean agreed to have me as a coach; they are teaching me, and I believe their methods to be spot on. I am so grateful for the opportunities.
